We know – a safety gate is not necessarily the most beautiful element in the home, as safety and aesthetics rarely go hand in hand. With the new BabyDan Guard Me Safety Gate in black, we have tried to create a more stylish and elegant gate look that can childproof the home while also being able to fit well with current interior design trends.
The Guard Me safety gate has a matte non-reflective, anti-scratch finish. The gate is foldable and will automatically retract when the handle is released. This way it takes up very little space when not in use. When the gate is closed, it forms a solid barrier that is built to withstand the rigors of everyday life and adventurous little ones. The safety gate needs to be wall-mounted and is perfect for stairs and hallways as there is no frame or edge to trip over. The door handle can easily be operated with one hand, leaving your other hand free for the baby, the laundry or the baby bottle.
Can be opened with one hand
The safety gate is easily operated with just one hand in a simple push and pull motion. This means that you don't need to have both hands free when passing through the gate.
Foldable and (almost) invisible
When you release the gate, it folds up automatically and takes up very little space. When closed, the gate works as a solid barrier with a clean and modern look.
Perfect for stairs
The safety gate is wall-mounted and is installed just above the floor. Beacuse of this there is no frame or edge to trip over when using the gate.
Easy to mount extension
The safety gate can be extended by purchasing an "Extend A Guard" panel, which is easy to install and remove again. This way, the gate can be customized to your exact needs.

When you buy a BabyDan safety gate, you get a code for our Onbox app, where you can find detailed instructional videos for installing all our gates. The guides are easy to understand and you can follow the setup step by step, at your own pace.
Safety in every detail
At BabyDan, our primary focus is safety. That's why we have integrated many different safety features into all our safety gates - both visible and "invisible".
- We know that children will taste anything - including a safety gate. The BabyDan Guard Me safety gate is made of ABS plastic and nylon and contains no PVC, BHA or phthalates, which means that it is completely safe for your child to put it in their mouth. The gate is available in white and black.
- All our safety gates are manufactured in Denmark and comply with the European safety standard EN 1930:2011. The BabyDan Guard Me safety gates are tested and approved by TÜV SÜD.
ATTENTION - Mounting & customization
- You can extend your BabyDan Guard Me safety gate with the BabyDan Extend A Guard extension kit (sold separately). By adding the kit, you can extend your gate by up to 24 cm (up to 113.5 cm total length). You can only extend your safety gate with one Extend A Guard extension kit.
- If the gate is installed inside a door frame, it can cover openings between 64.5-89 cm. With an additional extension, it can cover openings up to 113.5 cm.
- If the gate is mounted on the outside of a door frame, it can cover openings between 55-79.5 cm. With an additional extension, it can cover openings up to 103.5 cm.
- If the gate is installed at the top of a staircase, there must be at least 9 cm from the door wall bracket to the edge of the top step. If the gate is extended with an additional extension, the distance must be at least 13 cm.
- If the gate is mounted on a wall with skirting boards, a spacer (sold separately) must be used to ensure correct and secure installation.
